Cake Flavors
Of course the most popular choice is the
traditional white cake but there are other flavors available. Choose what
you like after all it is your day. Some other flavors are chocolate,
pecan, apple, carrot, coconut, mocha, lemon, raspberry and spice.
Cake Fillings
Cakes can be filled with a variety of
different flavors. Your options include amaretto, chocolate, hazelnut,
lemon cream, cream cheese, mocha, rum, orange, pineapple, raspberry,
custard or strawberry.
Cake Icing
There are also a variety of icings available
to you. Whipped cream icings are light and fluffy but are delicate and
must be kept refrigerated. Butter cream icing is smooth, creamy and
thicker and is easier to decorate. Keep it refrigerated until a few hours
before it is served. Fondant icing is smooth and is rolled out onto the
cake forming a smooth surface. It does not taste as well as the other
types of icing but it doesn't require refrigeration. Royal icing will
harden after applied and is good for delicate or intricate designs.
