Serving Alcohol At Your Party
You have decided to serve alcohol to your
guests. Here are some things to consider once you have made that decision.
Is Alcohol Allowed
Find out if you can serve alcohol at the place
where your party or event is held. Some establishments may not allow
alcohol or may have certain restrictions.
What Type Of Bar
You should decide what type of bar to provide.
Cash Bar
Your guests will have to pay for their own
alcohol. This will limit how much your guests drink since they will have
to pay for it.
Open Bar
A full bar that you pay for. Includes beer,
wine and liquor for mixed drinks. Be cautious with an open bar as guests
may overindulge.
Limited Bar
With a limited bar, you would provide beer
and/or wine to your guests and they would have to purchase mixed or
specialty drinks. This is a good compromise between an open and a cash
bar.
How Long Will You Serve Alcohol
Remember that you are under no obligation to
provide your guests with alcohol for the entire event. You might offer a
champagne toast or serve drinks only at the beginning of your event. Its
up to you.
